The Poetry Project represents a new creative direction — a vocal-based recording featuring commissioned texts set to D.D.'s original compositions, blending jazz, spoken word, and art song traditions.

A jazz opera based in part on D.D.'s African-American father and Chinese mother. Libretto by George Elliott Clarke (Canada's former Poet Laureate). Premiered at the Guelph International Jazz Festival.

An opera about Pierre Elliott Trudeau, the father of Canada's current Prime Minister. Written with librettist George Elliott Clarke.
